ROC Software Announces Release of ROC Maestro 1.6

Austin, Texas – May 30, 2012 – ROC Software, a leading provider of systems management solutions for cross-platform environments, announces the immediate availability of ROC Maestro version 1.6. With this new release of ROC’s job scheduling solution, ROC Maestro can serve as a stand-alone job scheduler or as a master on the Microsoft Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 platforms.

ROC Maestro on Windows supports the use of subshells to communicate with your operating system.  Users have the ability to select from two Windows subshells (WinCMD and Windows Powershell), a UNIX/Linux subshell (POSIX), or a subshell you configure.

Along with the support of ROC Maestro on Windows, ROC Maestro 1.6 also includes many new enhancements including:

  • New calendar options
  • Enhanced audit cycling
  • New capability for access roles
  • Support for new ways to set launch priorities for schedules and tasks
  • New application settings
  • UI updates that include changes to the Monitor window and the global configuration window

ROC Maestro dramatically simplifies job scheduling administration while expanding your operational reach. Its lightweight, small footprint means you don't need a separate server or large external database to run your cross-platform job scheduling.
